Lexington, KY – July 24, 2026 – Top riders gathered at the Stonelea Ring on Friday afternoon during the Kentucky Summer Horse Show, presented by Rood and Riddle, to showcase their equitation skills. In the ASPCA Maclay Horsemanship class, it was Parker Peacock and Devil Marc who earned the day’s winning prize, while Louisa Rehme and Cascari 5 topped the Hamel NHS 3’3” Medal.
Friday’s victory marked Devil Marc’s first win in the equitation, and earning the blue ribbon was a great way to kick off a busy weekend for Peacock at the Kentucky Horse Shows. “It’s very exciting to win,” she expressed. “He’s a new horse to the equitation, and I think he’s going to be a future superstar – he was incredible today. He’s jumped quite high in the jumpers, so we’re transitioning him into an equitation horse now, but he’s catching on quite quickly. He was just a star today, and we couldn’t be happier with him.”

In the first round of the ASPCA Maclay Horsemanship class, riders were asked to ride accurately through bending lines, rollbacks, and make multiple technical turns. Following that, riders were invited to return for the flat phase to help determine the winner of the class, which included work at the walk, trot and canter, as well as demonstrating the sitting trot. Peacock earned the top call, while Campbell Cauthen with Kumquat and Olivia Growcock with The Diplomat placed second and third, respectively.
Devil Marc is a 9-year-old Hanoverian gelding owned by Ashland Farms, and he handled the course with ease thanks to Peacock’s expert guidance. “There were a few challenging things, especially for a horse newer to the equitation, but he handled them great. He has a massive stride, so he’s able to make everything look really smooth. He was a joy to ride today, and I’m grateful to ride him.”
Earlier in the day, the win in the Hamel NHS 3’3” Medal went to Louisa Rehme, who was also on a new mount, Cascari 5. The second place prize was awarded to Meriella Pitt Miller and Casino 71, while Sophie Heap and Jetta rounded out the top three.
Cascari 5 is owned by Rehme’s trainer, Missy Jo Hollingsworth of Saddle Lake Equestrian, but is currently with Amanda Lyerly. Hollingsworth knew it would be a great match, and Rehme rode him for the first time yesterday, instantly clicking with the 9-year-old German Sport Horse.

“He’s a push ride, but I’ve ridden a lot of push rides, and he’s just like all the others I’ve ridden,” explained Rehme. “He’s super cool. I really liked the bending line of the course – it was the quarter line diagonal to a four-stride. I’ve never done a bending line like that before, and I didn’t really know how he was going to react, so it was really cool to see how he just handled it super well.”
The Kentucky Summer Horse Shows are always on Rehme’s calendar, and she was thrilled to be back at the Kentucky Horse Park, concluding, “The arenas are all great. The food, the shopping – the Kentucky Horse Park is really great. Everything’s amazing about the whole experience!”
The Kentucky Summer Horse Show will feature more hunter action this week, including Sunday’s $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby. Many riders have gathered to prepare for the 2026 Platinum Performance/USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Championship, the Platinum Performance/USHJA International Hunter Derby Championship, and the 2026 USEF Pony Finals, which will all take place in August at the Kentucky Horse Park.
